AMERICA RECYCLES DAY IS NOVEMBER 15
HORRY COUNTY SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY SCHEDULES FREE GIVEAWAY FOR NOVEMBER 12

In celebration of America Recycles Day, on Thursday, November 12th from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM, the Horry County Solid Waste Authority (SWA) will be giving away home compost bins to the first 40 residents visiting their administrative office. In addition, SWA staff will be distributing recycling information and other recycled-content prizes. The SWA Administrative Office is located at 1886 Highway 90, Conway, SC.
“America Recycles Day is the nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and to buy recycled products, which in turn promotes environmental awareness and protection. This year we wanted to remind everyone about the three R’s: Reduce, reuse, recycle and promote ways to protect our environment”, said Esther Murphy, the SWA’s Director of Recycling and Corporate Affairs. “We are encouraging Horry County residents to begin recycling or increase the amount of recycling they are currently doing,” stated Murphy.
