NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The North Myrtle Beach City Council met in a regularly scheduled meeting on May 1, 2023, at 7 p.m.
Twelve graduates of the Citizen's Police Academy were recognized and honored prior to the Council meeting.
The items below were approved on the consent agenda:
A. RESOLUTION: An American Rescue Plan Act Stormwater Infrastructure Program Subrecipient Agreement (APPROVED)
B. MOTION TO APPOINT: One reappointment to the Waccamaw Regional Transportation Authority Board of Directors (APPROVED)
C. MOTION TO APPROVE: Fourth of July Salute to America (APPROVED)
D. MOTION TO APPROVE: Junior Shag Association Beach Day (APPROVED)
E. MOTION TO APPROVE: Irish Italian International Festival (APPROVED)
F. ORDINANCE/SECOND READING: Petition for Annexation and Zoning Designation for 0.18 acres on Cashmere Lane (APPROVED)
There were four items on the unfinished business portion of the agenda.
A. ORDINANCE/SECOND READING: Amendment to the Parkway Group Planned Development District (PDD) amending Rosewood in Waterside (APPROVED)
B. ORDINANCE/SECOND READING: Amendment to the Parkway Group Planned Development District (PDD) creating the McDowell Corporate Center (APPROVED)
C. ORDINANCE/SECOND READING: Amendment to the Parkway Group PDD Development Agreement creating the McDowell Corporate Center and to authorize the City Manager to sign the document on behalf of the City (APPROVED)
D. ORDINANCE/SECOND READING: Regarding the Second Separate and Independent Amendment to the Master Development Agreement regarding the Village at Waterway Hills and to authorize the City Manager to sign the document on behalf of the City (APPROVED)
Two new business items were also passed:
A. MOTION TO APPROVE: Myrtle Beach Tours Beach Games (APPROVED)
B. ORDINANCE/FIRST READING: Petition for Annexation and Zoning Designation for 0.27 acres on 1st Avenue South (APPROVED)
