NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The City of North Myrtle Beach will host an information-gathering event focused on Short-Term Rentals (STRs) on Tuesday, June 10, at 6:00 PM in the atrium of City Hall. Light refreshments will be provided.
This is the first of two planned events designed to gather community feedback. The June 10 event is specifically intended for residents who do not own or manage an STR within the City. The City is interested in hearing from individuals who live near one or more STRs to better understand how these rentals may impact quality of life. Attendees will have the opportunity to share input on potential components of a future STR management ordinance. While STR owners and managers are welcome to attend to listen and observe, active participation in the information-gathering activities will be limited to those who do not own or manage an STR.
A second event, tentatively scheduled for August 2025, will be tailored to owners and managers of STRs. Attendees will have the opportunity to share input on potential components of a future STR management ordinance. During that event, participation in the feedback process will be limited to STR operators. Those who do not own or manage an STR are welcome to attend to observe and listen. Additional details about the second event will be shared at a later date.
