Career & Training
Captain Worth began his career in the Fire Service as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT in 2008 with the West Glens Falls Vol. Fire Co. No. 1 located in Queensbury, NY. He obtained his Paramedic Certificate in 2011 from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY and began working part time for multiple EMS agencies in upstate NY. He moved to South Carolina in 2012 where he began full time employment with Horry County Fire Rescue as a Firefighter/ Paramedic. He started with the City of North Myrtle Beach in 2016 as a Firefighter before being promoted to Engineer of Engine Co. 3 in 2018, Lieutenant of Engine Co. 1 in 2020 and Captain in the Fire Training Division in 2023.
Education
Captain Worth is currently enrolled at Eastern Kentucky University for his B.S. Fire Protection Administration. He holds IFSAC certifications in Fire Officer 1 & 2, Fire Instructor 1 & 2, Firefighter 1 & 2 amongst several others. Captain Worth is also an EMT & Continuing Education Program instructor through South Carolina DHEC in addition to other EMS Instructor certifications.
