Career & Education
Deputy Fire Marshal Andrew West began his career with the City of North Myrtle Beach in Feb 2006. He was born and raised in the city of North Myrtle Beach. He has served the city as detention/ communication officer until June 2006. In June of that year, he transferred to the fire/rescue division and served as firefighter/EMT until October of 2009 when he was promoted to Lieutenant. He served as an operational Lieutenant for 14 years. He was promoted to Deputy Fire Marshal in July of 2023. DFM West has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science from Kieser University.
Family
DFM West is a husband to Lori and a proud father of 3 girls Madelyn, Lorelai, and Ameila. As a family they enjoy serving and attending church at First Baptist North Myrtle Beach. They also enjoy traveling in their camper all over the east coast.
