Work History:
Deputy Fire Marshal Jayson Edge has 32 years of fire service experience, with 30 years serving the City of North Myrtle Beach. DFM Edge started his career with our Department in May of 1993 as a Firefighter. He moved into the Fire Prevention Division in 1996 where he served as a Fire Inspector for around 5 years. In 2001 he was promoted to Fire Training Supervisor and served in the Fire Training Division until 2007 when he returned to Operations Division as a Fire Lieutenant on shift. Lt Edge has served in that role since 2007 with his most recent assignment as Engine 5 Officer on C-Battalion.

When DFM Edge is not serving the citizens of North Myrtle Beach, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Alisha, his 3 kids, Mike, Marcus, and Marisa, and their 4 dogs, Sophie, Lemon, Finley and Oliver.
