Krista Cooper is the Victim Advocate for the North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety. She has been with the department for more than 15 years.
Education
She graduated from the University of Florida and then received a degree in Paralegal Studies with Honors at Rollins College in Orlando. She moved to North Myrtle Beach in 1997 and worked at a law firm for several years before joining the department.
Current Career
She is a Certified Victim Assistance Specialist through the Victim Assistance Standards and Certification Board and a member of the Law Enforcement Victim Advocate Association. She also attends Victims Rights Week every year to stay current on her continuing education. Krista has involvement in all criminal cases that come into the Department that include a victim.
